Smart Commute Sudbury

sustainable commuting support for sudbury businesses

Many people working and living in Sudbury commute to work every day using a personal vehicle. Commuting can be stressful for the individual, can lead to excess traffic in town and crowded parking lots, and produces significant greenhouse gas emissions.

Since July 2023, in partnership with City of Greater Sudbury, Smart Commute Sudbury partners with businesses to help promote sustainable alternative transportation for their employees.

To support the transition to alternative commute methods, participating organizations receive:

  • Private rideshare network on the platform (app and website)

  • Customized sub-site on the Smart Commute website

  • Access to the Emergency Ride Home program

  • Site Assessment for the business’ property

  • Annual Employee Travel Survey

  • Work Plan based on gathered information to reach your goals

  • Regional and Local Campaign materials to boost engagement
