Energy assessment steps
Complete the Home Energy Audit Assessment Form
This brief form, found here, will give us all the information we need to start booking your Home Energy Audit. Once complete, one of our Registered Energy Advisors will contact you for more specific details and will confirm your audit time and date.
receive initial audit
Our Registered Energy Advisor will come to your house and determine the amount of energy your home consumes, commonly called a ‘baseline.’
Receive report
The Energy Advisor will create an EnerGuide report that will outline your current baseline and make recommendations for improvements.
Complete renovations
The home owner will then complete the renovations and must be sure they keep all receipts for the project completed.
Final audit
Our Energy Advisor will return and verify the renovations have improved your home’s efficiency using the baseline determined in the previous visit.
Submit required documents
With your consent, reThink Green will submit for government and organizational grants you qualify for on your behalf. Documents submitted will include any receipts related to qualifying renovations.
Receive rebates
Clients will receive their rebate cheques in the mail.
Home Assessment Pricing
One element of the Northern Home Energy Assessment program is that you can receive a grant for the home assessments.
If you complete at least one eligible retrofit recommended in your first audit, submit all required materials, and have a second audit to confirm the changes were made – you could qualify for up to $600 to help cover the costs of the home assessments.
