History

reThink Green is a solution based network focused on enhancing and protecting the environment and culture of sustainability in the City of Greater Sudbury.

The successes of the Sudbury Basin Environmental Networking Initiative (2004-2006) and the Greater Sudbury Environmental Network (2006-2009) is what led to the creation of reThink Green. reThink Green carries on the mandate of those successful organizations by continuing to promote environmental action, policy and networking in the Greater Sudbury area. This not-for-profit organization is run by a full time Executive Director, a small staff, and a volunteer board of directors.

By bringing together the grass-roots community, non-profits, businesses and government, reThink Green promotes creative collaboration and dialogue about local and global environmental issues. Some of our service offerings include capacity building workshops, member-focused networking, a shared office space built to support emerging social enterprises, and Sudbury’s annual Earth Day Festival.
